May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. –Romans 15:13
On Sunday, March 9th, Peter preached that hope was BIG!! It got me thinking about my hopes… my hope especially for our Mother Earth who seems to get short shrift today as well as historically. Today with our blossoming population worldwide our impact is increasing exponentially.
But there is hope everywhere. In point, two weeks ago “I Love Framingham” was held at the High School. It was a very hopeful event with a large group of people attending who wanted to talk about hopeful ways to live that would help Mother Earth… more bicycle friendly streets; schools that have gardening programs that support the cafeteria with healthful foods and employees that find ways to decrease its dependance on energy; churches that re-use plastic grocery bags to make sleeping mats for the homeless.
You don’t have to look far to see and find ways to live out hope with a little help from neighbors and friends- if you just remember to look. –Sarah MacLennan
O God, remind us to look for hope. Amen.
