Let them praise God’s name with dancing; Let them sing praises to God with timbrel and lyre. –Psalm 149:3
I dance across the water
pirouetting
to the music of creation.
Minnows splash
frogs croak
blue herons beat time with tambourine wings
Lizards rustle
crabs scuttle
snakes slither
and sanderlings bob back and forth
a ballad of life in the bayou.
Ruah, breath of life,
singer of creations song
help us keep dancing for life as death bubbles toward us.
God of the dance, may we ever seek to hear the music of creation and create a world where the symphony of life in never silent. Amen
