(Matthew 25:40) Imagine five people telling their sacred stories. Young Old Middle aged Families with children Teenagers Black White Hispanic Native American Asian Addicted Battered Veterans Gay, lesbian, transgender Alcoholic Working two jobs making minimum wage Illegal immigrant Disabled Released from prison No high school diploma Food or rent Medicine or rent Drugs or rent No money for rent No one will rent to me Sleeping on a park bench Under a bridge In a cardboard In a shelter With a trick Hungry Hopeless Tired Frightened Sick Homeless in the richest country in the world. Will you help me? Dollar for a cup of coffee? Buy me lunch? Bus money to the VA clinic? Cab fare to get the kids to school? Pay for the night? Jesus said: That which you do to the least among you, you do unto me! (Mathew 25:40) Holy One, help me work to create a world in which everyone has a safe and loving home. Amen.
