And the crowds asked him (John, called the Baptizer), “What then should we do?” In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
Luke 3:10–11
My tree is bigger yours!
flap, flap flap
Now it’s mine!
No its mine!!!
mine
mine
mine
Hey we have lots of space! This tree is ours.
The woodstorks agree and rest for a moment. Then….
My nest is bigger than yours!
squawk, squawk, squawk
Give me that stick!
No, it’s mine!
mine
mine
mine
Lookout, here they come!
Screech, screech, screech
Keep the herons out!
Push the anhinga’s away!
No egrets allowed!
ours
ours
ours
United at last.
Space…
Holy One, help us stop flapping and squawking and screeching so that we may open our hands and hearts to share with all…even the egrets, anhingas and herons in our lives. Amen
