Sat. Sept. 8 at noon, American Legion Playground
25 Glendon St, East Boston
In thousands of cities and towns around the world events are being planned for September 8 to demand that our local leaders end fossil fuel dependence, take action towards 100% renewable energy and start putting people over profits to ensure a just transition. These events are taking place just ahead of the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in San Francisco, where mayors, governors and Business leaders are being challenged to set more ambitious and equitable climate goals.
As climate change impacts people of color, low-wage workers and indigenous peoples – here and around the world—first and worst, Boston organizers have called the community to come together, take action, and speak out.
Speak to Jenny Allen or Mary Memmott (memmottm@gmail.com) if you’re interested in participating.
