What an amazing summer it’s been with our virtual worship services. Since we will be continuing through the fall, the time is right to begin planning and we need your help! We’ve come up with a number of multi-week projects that will involve as many singers, photographers, artists, writers, poets, and dancers as possible. I’ve created a Google shared folder which will be the place to put any submissions you wish to contribute. There is a continually updated document in the folder that explains each opportunity, requirements, and deadlines.
Open projects right now include a few hymns that we will multitrack into full scale arrangements (who says we can’t sing “together” these days?!), a photo/video of your pets for Blessing of the Animals, a photo/video of you making your favorite flour/corn/rice treat for World Communion Sunday (so sad we can’t actually share them this year, but we can each make our own and share our kitchen photos).
New projects will be posted regularly and are intended for anyone at all to participate. Get the kids involved too.
My Music Appreciation class was a huge success this summer and I intend to keep it going, but we are taking a few weeks off while I get these other things and my work at BU settled in for fall.
Let the fun begin!
