When we began this fall, we hoped to get more worshipers onscreen and on microphone. Council even ensured that provision when we voted to continue in virtual worship, at least through December. Through the development of our Studio Choir and Multi-home Ensemble, we have explored new ways of making music “together,” and what a way to make good on our promise to have more of us on camera! Through our shared communion liturgies, blessings of the animals, stewardship moments, home altarscapes, and Advent candle families, there’s a great memory or two in every service. I had occasion a few weeks ago to look back on a number of our services; I’ve seen the improved confidence of our leaders, and I’ve seen a growing congregation. I’ve seen testimonies, and I’ve seen great preaching. I relived many laughs and learned new songs. Thank you, Edwards Church, for allowing yourselves to take the plunge and to grow throughout a very difficult 2020. Here’s to all the goodness that awaits us in ’21!
Peace,
