In December of 2020, a mighty wind whipped through Saxonville and caused one of the windows in our church steeple to blow out. Since then, a Steeple Repair Research Team has explored options, presented to church council and arranged for repairs, including replacing all the windows, repairing damage, removing the lower railing, and re-doing our lighting system. Painter’s Pride, a Framingham business that specializes in steeple repairs, will be doing the work over the summer.
The cost is being covered by a combination of: insurance money, Memorial Fund, Capital Improvements Fund, and a congregational fundraiser. Our goal for the fundraiser is to raise between $3000-6000, to cover the cost of the front and possibly the back set of windows.
On Pentecost Sunday, we introduced our fundraiser with this graphic. As we receive donations, we will fill the steeple up with birds, representing the Holy Spirit. Please give as you are able! You can give through our website paypal account or by mailing or dropping off a check at the church.
