Special Offering for June—Tempo Young Adult Resource Center
The Board of Wider Missions has been exploring ways we can be a source of healing in a year that has uncovered a crisis in mental health. In April we invited the congregation to contribute to Advocates, a local organization that supports people of all ages facing mental health and developmental challenges. For June, we are focusing in on the particular needs of youth and young adults. We invite you to make a special contribution to support Tempo Young Adult Resource Center, a program of Wayside Youth and Family Support Network.
Tempo is a one-stop resource center for young adults with extra challenges. They focus on achievement, employment, schooling, healthy relationships, and practical skills to reach future goals. Young adults learn to be leaders, learners, workers, and role models. Tempo helps unconditionally so that young people with extra challenges can become healthy, productive adults. Tempo addresses the urgent need for services for youth at the critical point of transition into adulthood. Tempo’s diverse staff use a youth-centered planning process to help young adults develop goals, provide the tools they need, and walk with them through the steps to their goals.
Please give as you are able.
