Edwards Church rocks, come rock with us! In September, Christian Explorers thought about Jesus outdoors, painted rocks, assembled Church World Service hygiene kits, and made a terrarium garden on the pray ground. This month, we celebrate autumn and learn about Moses and the Exodus journey through the wilderness. We continue worshipping outdoors under the tree house at Edwards every week, followed by Sunday School on the porch of Jonathan House. Here are some special events and projects for Christian Explorers October…
- A rocking chair on the pray ground is a new addition when we gather for worship. It’s a way to welcome our smallest members, so feel free to come and rock your little one through the service.
- Filling the big penny jar. It’s getting very, very heavy! Each time we worship we add coins to fill the penny jar and work together towards making a donation to help other people.
- Building the tabernacle. As we learn more about the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness, we’ll be working toward creating our own sacred space when we return to worship in the sanctuary.
- The second annual “Trunk or Treat” outdoors celebration up at Edwards Church on Sunday afternoon, October 31! Mark your calendar now for fun crafts, costumes and masks, pumpkins and treats. More details to follow.
