Returning to Indoor Worship
In October, Christian Explorers will return to worship indoors. On the first Sunday of each month, we’ll be participating in the sanctuary with our families for communion and a craft at the Tent of Meeting. On other Sundays, we’ll bring in the light to begin worship, then move to Sue Dickerman Hall for time on our own to use our Spark Bibles to learn more about Jesus, have conversation, crafts and other activities before returning to bring the light out again at the end of worship. We hope you’ll join us as we make this new space our home! Here are some activities for Christian Explorers in October…
- The seasons of the church year. Have you ever wondered about the colors we use in the sanctuary? Red for Pentecost, purple for Advent, white for Christmas and Easter? This month we’ll work together to create a church calendar of our own and learn more about how we celebrate the different seasons of the church year.
- Harvesting our herb garden. Fall is a time of harvest and our herb garden needs to be cut down and prepared for the winter months. As in the past, we’ll donate our herbs to A Place to Turn food pantry.
- Don’t miss our third annual “Trunk or Treat” outdoors celebration up at Edwards Church on Sunday afternoon, October 30st! Mark your calendar now for fun crafts, costumes and masks, pumpkins and treats. Details are below.
