January 15 at 5:00 pm—Seeds of Grace Worship: Star Gifts
5:00 p.m. Gathering, 5:30 p.m. Worship in person and
Monday, January 16th, 7:30 p.m. Worship on zoom
The use of star words, also called “star gifts,” is a prayer practice connected to Epiphany and the new year. A guiding word or intention is chosen by each participant to focus their prayer and reflection as they enter the new year. We began last year with this practice, and will continue this new tradition. How is God moving through, around or in connection to that word in our lives and in the world around us? Come to find community around the circle, share a cup of warm soup, pray and reflect surrounded by music and the comforting company of fellow travelers at Edwards Church.
Seeds of Grace worship is offered in person on Sunday, January 15th, in Susan Dickerman Hall and again on Monday, January 16th, via zoom at https://zoom.us/j/94465801606? or by phone at 1-929-205-6099. Please invite others to join us!

January 8 at 10:00am—Epiphany
We will celebrate Epiphany in our own sanctuary (and by live-stream) with a service drawing upon the wisdom and beauty of Appalachian celebrations of “Old Christmas.” We will listen to the prayers of the animals, who traditionally speak at midnight on January 6th; we will experience “sweet healing;” we will sing beautiful music.
