Zoom Book Group with Karen Nell
Mondays at 4:00pm via Zoom
Our next book is The Heart’s Invisible Furies: A Novel by John Boyne. Amazon describes it as “Boyne’s most transcendent work to date, we are shown the story of Ireland from the 1940s to today through the eyes of one ordinary man. The Heart’s Invisible Furies is a novel to make you laugh and cry while reminding us all of the redemptive power of the human spirit.” You can read more about it here. The group reads about 100 pages a week, then meets for an hour or so on zoom with questions to spark our discussion. New members are most welcome; join us for interesting reading, spirited conversation and lots of laughter! Contact Karen Nell for the Zoom invitation.

Maple Sap Collection
Visit www.openspiritcenter.org to learn more and sign up
All are invited and encouraged to take home maple sap from the community sugar bush in the playground on our campus. These trees are tapped each year in order to provide an educational way for the community to try maple sugaring and learn about maple trees. You can take home the sap and either boil it down to make maple syrup or use the watery direct-from-the-tree sap in recipes. Visit our website to sign up and learn everything you need to know about harvesting sap at Open Spirit.
