Renewal of Our Connection with the Earth
Sunday, April 23, 3.30 – 5.30 p.m.
Mindful Walk Along the Carol Getchell Nature Trail
The Multi-Faith Collaborative of Open Spirit invites you to join in our third gathering of our spring series of shared meals and conversation, Sukha, Refuah, Salaam: Renewing our Connection. In our diverse spiritual traditions this renewal, Buddhists cultivate and wish each other sukha, meaning well-being; Jews pray for refuah, healing of body, mind and spirit; Muslims greet one another seeking salaam, peace that includes a sense of well-being for the entire community. Other traditions use different words to point to our yearning for well-being.
Our third gathering will be on Earth Day weekend, Sunday April 23 from 3.30 – 5.30 p.m. for a mindful walk along the Carol Getchell Nature Trail led by Neela de Zoysa and Joe Hudock. We will practice gratitude toward the gently flowing river and the renewal of life with the arrival of Spring. Learn to recognize invasive plants, rally to remove some and pick up trash to restore the trail. This event will coincide with Keep Framingham Beautiful Earth Day campaign: https://www.facebook.com/groups/keepframinghambeautiful Trail Map: https://www.framinghamma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/37546/CarolGetchell-Brochure
