Celebrate Earth!
What a joyous Easter we had last month! Christian Explorers took a StoryWalk, collected blessing eggs, and started preparing for their herb garden. In May, we continue our celebration of God’s creation with these activities for Christian Explorers…
- Earth, water, air and fire. How do we find God in all these essential elements of creation? This month, we’ll explore each as we begin planting and tending our herb garden in front of Jonathan House.
- Sing a new song! As part of our celebration of the earth, Christian Explorers will learn a chant, “I am the earth,” and help lead the congregation in singing this new song.
- The big penny jar. Our Sunday morning offerings are making the penny jar very heavy, and it’s time to count the change and make a contribution to someone in need. How much do you think we’ve collected? Come to help count and see how to use this money to make a difference!
- On the floor… There’s always something to do at the Tent of Meeting or in Sue Dickerman Hall during worship on Sunday mornings! In addition, Christian Explorers help lead worship by bringing in and out the light, filling the big penny jar, and collecting the offering. We hope you’ll join us.
