Seeds of Grace Worship: Reflections on the Sacred Ally Quilts
Sunday, June 18, In Person 5:00 p.m. Gathering,
5:30 p.m. Worship; and
Monday, June 19, Worship on zoom 7:30 p.m.
Edwards Church recently partnered with Edwards House and the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ to host the Sacred Ally Quilt Tour, an exhibit of 10 quilts created to honor the last words of George Floyd. As we observe Juneteenth this month, we’ll take time to reflect on this powerful artistic memorial and the on-going challenge of working for racial justice.
Each Seeds of Grace service is focused on a timely theme, inviting participants into conversation in a comfortable setting. Come for informal reflection and discussion inspired by music of all kinds, scripture, readings and personal sharing. In the midst of a chaotic world, a glimmer of joy and light can be found in our circle as we gather over a simple meal with fellow travelers at Edwards Church. We hope to see you there!
Seeds of Grace worship is offered in June in person on Sunday, June 18, in Susan Dickerman Hall or under the tent in front of Jonathan House, and again on Monday, June 19 via zoom at https://zoom.us/j/94465801606? . Please feel free to invite others to join us!
Sunday, June 25, 10:00 a.m.—“For Freedom—Part II”
The second part of this worship series will focus on the relationship between freedom and responsibility in community.
