Our theme for the Advent season is “Finding your Advent Calling: Who are you in the story?” We will enter into the season through the perspective of the characters in the Christmas story, and we will ask ourselves where we find ourselves and our calling in the story.

Sunday, December 17, Seeds of Grace Worship: The Longest Night
5:00 p.m. Gathering, 5:30 p.m. Worship in person
As we approach the longest night of the year, we gather for a Longest Night Service of scripture, music, quiet reflection, and candle lighting to help embrace the darkness as a time of rest and renewal to help heal the wounds of grief and loss. Come to share a cup of warm soup and conversation around the fire pit, then worship together with reflection and sharing, music and prayer. Join us to give each other hope, patience and courage for these times.
Each Seeds of Grace service is focused on a timely theme, inviting participants into conversation in a comfortable setting. Come for informal reflection, discussion and contemplation inspired by music of all kinds, ancient and contemporary readings, and personal sharing or just listening. In the midst of a chaotic world, a glimmer of joy and light can be found in our circle as we gather over light refreshments with fellow travelers at Edwards Church.
Seeds of Grace worship is offered in person on the third Sunday of each month. Weather permitting, we’ll meet around the firepit in front of Jonathan House. If not, we’ll gather in Susan Dickerman Hall. Please feel free to invite others to join us; we hope to see you there!

5:00 p.m. – Christmas Pageant
On Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary or at home, join us for our annual Christmas Pageant service, “Who are you in the story?” Some families will make videos of pieces of the pageant at home, others will play their parts live in the sanctuary during the service. There’s a part for everyone and, together, we’ll tell the Christmas Even story in our own unique way. Watch for more information and think about which part of the story you’d like to tell!
9:00 p.m. – Candlelight service of lessons, poetry and carols
Sunday, December 31, 10:00 a.m.
Join us for brunch worship in the Sue Dickerman Hall, as we share a meal of fellowship and reflection. Bring a breakfast dish to share.
