One Wild and Precious Life; A Celebration of the Poetry of Mary Oliver

We hope you will join us for an exciting new poetry workshop led by poet Lisa Breger. During our time together, we’ll view a presentation and hear the poet read her work. Bring one of your favorite Mary Oliver poems to share along with a story about the poem’s influence on you. We’ll have time for writing using some of the poet’s techniques and share our thoughts over refreshments. All are welcome and no writing experience is required. Would you like to eat more plants? For your health? For the planet? For your fellow earthlings? Join our 30-day spring challenge. From March 10 – April 7, we will up the number of plants in our diet, while minimizing animal foods. The challenge will be facilitated by Laura Beck, Vegan Lifestyle Coach & Educator.
Kickoff – Sunday, March 10, 3:00-5:00 p.m. (in person at Open Spirit). There will be a screening of the documentary, “A Prayer for Compassion,” followed by an introduction to the challenge.
Support meetings – Tuesday evenings (March 12, 19, 26, April 2 from 7:00 – 7:40 p.m. on Zoom). Come one week or every week to have your questions answered, suggestions, and sharing of challenges & successes.
Closing potluck on Sunday, April 7, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in person at Open Spirit to share food and our experience with the challenge.
