Faith Formation for March
On the first Sunday in March, we complete our winter worship theme, “Faithful Followers,” with an intergenerational communion service. Then we move into Lent, with a focus on “Deep and Wide: Becoming Beloved Community.” Each Sunday we will learn from the early church about the joys and challenges of becoming beloved community. We’ll sing “Deep and Wide,” pray for boldness, break out of prisons, eat surprising foods, and more.
Sunday, March 2 – Intergenerational Worship with Communion
Our young people will participate in bringing in the light, an interactive message, a craft in the prayground, receiving the offering, and Holy Communion, as we explore the wisdom of two local Faithful Followers.

Incredible Days Family Service Project Trip
March 21-23, Providence, Rhode Island
We are excited for our first ever Family Service Project Trip! We will work with a group called “Incredible Days,” whose mission statement includes these words: The belief that we are all called to work for a more just world undergirds everything we do. As an organization, we proudly affirm the sanctity of all creation and the rich diversity of the world’s people, including people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We will carpool Friday evening to Seekonk Congregational Church, near Providence, where we will spend the night. On Saturday, we will participate in two service projects, including attending and providing sandwiches for an outdoor church, many of whose members are homeless. On Sunday, we’ll attend church, have lunch and return home.
We ask each participant to contribute between $25 and $100 toward the cost of the program.
We will fundraise and draw upon our Youth Fund for the rest (see the article in Announcements / Mardi Gras Dessert Auction).
Second Adult Sign-Up
In order to support our young people and teachers and to ensure a safe church for everyone, we are asking adults in the church to sign up to be a “Second Adult” each Sunday. You don’t have to prepare a thing; just come enjoy our amazing young people. You can sign up here: Second Adult Signup
