I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.–Ephesians 3:18-19 Every Friday during Lent, our Daily Devotion will be an opportunity to reach out to “broaden” or “widen” the circle of our Beloved Community’s caring, by writing a card to someone involved with an organization we support. This week, we invite you to write a card to someone at Oak Knoll Nursing Home, where we offer monthly worship services. It can be a general card–wishing the person a good day, offering an affirmation of their beauty and worth. I will bring them along next week, and the Activities Director will give them out to folks who may need something to brighten their day. Some ideas for what to say:
God, your love is broader and wider than we can ever imagine. Help us to share your love widely. Amen. –Debbie Clark |
